Starter Kit Fair Algorithms for Municipalities

How can you start working responsibly with algorithms? The Fair Algorithms project offers a starting point! In this project, CBS, municipalities, VNG, CodeforNL, Utrecht Data School and TU Delft have made a dashboard with questions about the different phases of a data project and additional explanations for each question based on the answers. The dashboard is a good starting point for a discussion about the use of algorithms and possible ethical, technical and legal issues. The dashboard focuses on self-learning algorithms, but of course it can also be used for simpler algorithms.

Although the tool is aimed at municipalities, anyone can benefit from it and get inspiration from the questions and answers.
